Tokito is a girl who was raised and grew up as a boy. Sometime after her mother’s death and Muramasa’s escape, her memory was erased by Hishigi, per Fubuki’s request. She was made to believe she is the daughter of Muramasa. As such, she was shunned by her fellow clansmen for carrying the blood of a traitor, causing her to be bitter.
Muichiro is a short, muscular young man of light complexion with long, straight hair of a black color that fades to mint green as it approaches his waist. He wears his hair loose with two clumps protruding slightly from each side of his head, a set of marginally shorter hair left down to frame his face, and unruly bangs over his forehead.
His eyes and hair are traits shared with his twin brother, Yuichiro Tokito. Muichiro wears a dark, slightly turquoise-tinted version of the Demon Slayeruniform.

Specifically, Muichiro was the Mist Hashira who made use of the Breath of Mist sword style. He was also the youngest of the Hashira at only 14 years old, being considered a prodigy of the Corps who became a Hashira only two months after joining the Demon Slayers.

After Tanjiro regains consciousness, he goes with Kotetsu to watch Muichiro fight against the mechanical doll, witnessing him breaking it. Muichiro remarks about the useful training and takes one of Type Zero’s swords, asking Tanjiro to dispose of his broken one.

Tanjiro intervenes, grasping his arm and attempting to crush it like he did to Genya Shinazugawa after the Final Selection. However, to his surprise, Muichiro does not budge despite having a smaller frame and thinner arms, instead punching Tanjiro in the stomach and reprimanding him for his weakness. He sees the box on his back and reaches for it, sensing a Demon, but Tanjiro slaps his hand and tells him not to touch it while rescuing Kotetsu from his grasp. Kotetsu continues to refuse handing over the key even under torture, and Muichiro chides him for his talk, stating how he is wasting a Hashira’s time and that swordsmiths are only good for making weapons. Tanjiro interrupts, angry at Muichiro’s inconsiderate attitude, but he gets knocked out by him.
When Tanjiro suddenly interrupts Kagaya in the middle of his meeting with the Hashiras, Muichiro flicks him in the head with a pebble and advises him to not interrupt their master, telling him to leave.

An emergency pillar meeting is held in the Ubuyashiki Estate, and Muichiro is seen there with his fellow Hashira. When Iguro asks how he and Kanroji are doing, Muichiro states that he is still not back to his full strength yet. Amane Ubuyashiki appears in the place of her husband for the meeting, and Muichiro and the others bow respectfully to her.
