In the end, though, Barnett and Amber said their “I do’s” and became legally married. Now, more than a year after Love Is Blind ‘s finale (the cast first filmed the show in 2018), fans are curious if Barnett and Amber are still together.
Matt Barnett and Amber Pike got married on season one of “Love Is Blind.” Pike has previously taken issue with Jessica Batten, a cast member that was also interested in an engagement with Barnett on season one.
In the end, though, he chose Amber, and the two met face to face for the first time on their last day in The Pods. Amber and Barnett’s relationship wasn’t easy though. Though their sex life sounded busy, the couple fought over Barnett’s family and Amber’s credit card and student loan debt that amounted to more than $20,000.
During the special, Amber and Barnett also revealed their plans for a baby. While Amber wants to start trying soon, Barnett doesn’t think they’re ready yet. “Matt is so analytical. He has it in his head that there’s this checklist of things you have to do in life to be ready for a kid.
What did Pike say about Barnett?
Pike said, “I was making [Barnett] so uncomfortable — like, I wasn’t working, so that was putting strain because I was so financially dependent on him, which was new to me … I’ve always had to figure that out for myself.” Chances are that many people have experienced the same thing in their own serious, long-term relationship, as having financial freedom and career success are very important.
Barnett said, “There’s not a day that goes by where we’re not cracking each other up. Even on rough days, we still pop jokes and get over it fast. Our relationship is a lot more fun than you guys could ever even see.”
Pike did start working as a waitress, so she had her own money coming in, and it sounds like that was really great and helpful for the couple.
